TFT Set 18 Champions and Traits: Every Unit and Breakpoint

By · How we make guides · Updated 2026-10-10 · Checked against Set 18, patch 18.4 · 11 min read

TL;DR: TFT Set 18, Enchanted Wilds, has 65 champions (14 one-costs, 13 two-costs, 14 three-costs, 14 four-costs and 10 five-costs) and 35 traits, plus a hidden Eclipse trait. Riftbeast is the largest trait, with 10 champions. Every cost, trait and breakpoint below comes from the game’s data files at patch 18.3, and none of them changed in the 18.4 data. Patch 18.4 (October 7, 2026) moved trait values instead, and Eclipse’s first execute now comes after 8 seconds.

This page is a reference, not a tier list. Champion costs, trait memberships and breakpoints come from the game’s data files at patch 18.3 (the CommunityDragon export our comps page also uses, rebuilt on September 26, 2026). We checked them again against the 18.4 data file of October 7, 2026, and no cost, trait membership or breakpoint changed. Ability values are not listed: they change almost every patch, and Riot’s patch 18.4 notes carry the current ones. Trait effects are described in words for the same reason. For the set’s story, launch date and patch history, see the Set 18 overview.

The trait list holds 35 traits: 25 shared traits, each carried by two or more champions, and 10 single-champion traits that belong to one unit each. The data also contains a hidden Eclipse trait that is not in the trait list (see below).

Every champion costs 1 to 5 gold; the data has no special-cost tier. Two five-costs bend the usual rules. The Elder Dragon takes up two team slots and adds 2 to your Riftbeast count. Lux is a single champion with the Avatar trait: per Riot’s Enchanted Wilds overview (July 27, 2026), she can represent one of nine Origins (Blackthorn, Blossom, Coven, Elderwood, Fae, Inferno, Lunar, Primal or Solar), and the 18.3 data says the Avatar’s chosen trait counts twice for trait bonuses.

How do you read a trait breakpoint?

A breakpoint is the number of different champions with a trait on your board. The tables below write them as 2 / 4 / 6: two champions activate the first tier, four the second, six the third. Between breakpoints nothing changes, so a fifth Juggernaut does nothing until a sixth arrives.

  • Copies count once. Two Vi on the board count as one Juggernaut. Star level does not matter for traits; the star levels guide covers what it does change.
  • Only the board counts. Champions on your bench add nothing to your traits.
  • Emblems add a trait. The champion holding an emblem gains that trait and counts toward it.
  • Two Set 18 exceptions. The Elder Dragon adds 2 to Riftbeast through Apex Predator, and Lux’s chosen trait counts twice through Avatar.

A worked example with Juggernaut (2 / 4 / 6): Rakan, Yorick, Sejuani and Vi on the board make four Juggernauts, so the (4) tier is active. Adding Amumu makes five and changes nothing; a sixth, such as Scuttlecrab or Maokai, reaches (6).

Are there origins and classes in Set 18?

Riot uses both words for this set. Its Enchanted Wilds overview calls Riftbeast an Origin, lists the nine Origins Lux can represent (Blackthorn, Blossom, Coven, Elderwood, Fae, Inferno, Lunar, Primal and Solar), and calls Adaptor one of the set’s classes. The game’s data files do not tag the other traits either way, so this page does not split all 35 into origins and classes. It groups them by what the data does show: shared traits and single-champion traits.

The hidden Eclipse trait

The 18.3 data holds one more trait that is not in the trait list: Eclipse, which Riot’s 18.4 notes call a (somewhat) hidden trait. After a set time in combat, the Eclipse kills the lowest-Health enemy, then repeats on a timer. Patch 18.4, live October 7, 2026, cut that initial delay from 10 seconds to 8; Riot said Eclipse arrived too late in the fight and its first executes lacked impact. It activates when you field 3 Solar and 3 Lunar champions, per the League of Legends Wiki, checked 2026-09-27. Our comp data agrees: the one line that lists Eclipse as active, Lunar Kayle, fields Leona, Kayle and Sejuani (Solar) with Diana, Aphelios and Alune (Lunar). So does Riot’s match data: in the 110,328 ranked games behind the comps page, played August 25 to October 4, 2026, all 2,564 boards with Eclipse active fielded at least 3 Solar and 3 Lunar champions.

Which traits have the most champions?

TraitChampionsBreakpoints
Riftbeast103 / 5 / 7 / 10
Blossom73 / 5 / 7 / 9 / 11
Elderwood73 / 5 / 7 / 9 / 11
Juggernaut72 / 4 / 6
Spellweaver72 / 4 / 6

Thirteen more traits have 5 or 6 champions each (Brawler, Defender, Ravager, Sprykin and Vanguard have 6; Adaptor, Blackthorn, Coven, Executioner, Hunter, Inferno, Invoker and Rapidfire have 5). A trait with many carriers gives you more ways to reach its high breakpoints, and more shop slots that feed it.

Which comps use the biggest traits?

These lines from the comps page build around the largest traits. Tiers come from our latest comp data refresh, of October 4, 2026, built from games played before patch 18.4, and they move as the meta does. Patch 18.4 trims Juggernaut’s Durability and nerfs Veigar’s ability damage, so expect these tiers to move at the next refresh.

Which traits changed since launch?

Riot’s patch notes list these trait changes. The tables above reflect the 18.3 data, after them; 18.4 changed trait values only, not breakpoints or rosters.

PatchBuffedNerfed or trimmed
18.2 (live September 10, 2026)Blackthorn, Coven, Fae, Hunter, InfernoRapidfire; Solar (its starting magic damage went up, its 3-star bonuses went down)
18.3 (live September 23, 2026)CovenBlossom (nerfs to the Wisps it upgrades), Defender, Hunter, Inferno, Invoker
18.3 mid-patch update (September 24, 2026)NoneBlackthorn (its Ability Power sacrifice bonus)
18.4 (live October 7, 2026)Blossom (Attack Damage and Ability Power), Eclipse (first execute after 8 seconds instead of 10), Elderwood (7) (its Deepwood Protector), Lunar (Ability Power), Riftbeast (7), Sprykin (7)Coven (its 130-Essence cashouts), Elderwood (9) (plant Health when starring up), Executioner (bleed), Fae (per-Pixie bonus), Juggernaut (Durability), Elderwood Emblem (resists)
18.4 B-patch (Riot’s mid-patch update headed October 7, 2026)None: no trait changes, only units, Wisps and augmentsNone

Riot’s stated aim for 18.4 was to bring Origins and Classes closer together in power: some deep vertical Origins were not worth their commitment, while a few vertical Classes gave too much combat power, which made some Emblems especially strong. The same patch gives Lux’s Solar version a new bonus: 15% bonus damage, plus 12% more for each unique 3-star champion fielded.

Where to go next

Update log

  • 2026-10-10: Added the 18.4 B-patch, headed October 7, to the trait-changes table: it changed no traits, only units, Wisps and augments.
  • 2026-10-07: Checked against live patch 18.4. Costs, trait memberships and breakpoints are unchanged in the 18.4 data file of October 7. Added the 18.4 row to the trait-changes table, Eclipse’s shorter first delay (10 to 8 seconds), the match-data check of Eclipse’s activation, Lux’s new Solar bonus, and the October 4 date of the comp data behind the comp table.
  • 2026-09-27: Rebuilt for live patch 18.3 from the game’s data files. Removed the pre-launch status note and the PBE caveats. Names now follow the live data: Blackthorn (listed as Eldritch in the pre-launch version), Mama Beak (Raptor), Sentinel (Ancient Sentinel) and Elder Dragon (The Elder Dragon). Trait effects were rewritten from the 18.3 trait text, each trait now lists the champions that carry it, and the Eclipse activation, the largest traits, the comps that use them and the trait changes since launch were added. The pre-launch split of 23 origins and 12 classes was removed, because neither the data nor Riot’s notes tag every trait that way.
  • 2026-07-14: First version, written from the Set 18 reveal.

Frequently asked questions

How many champions are in TFT Set 18?

65: 14 one-costs, 13 two-costs, 14 three-costs, 14 four-costs and 10 five-costs, per the game's data files at patch 18.4, unchanged since 18.3. There is no special-cost tier; every champion costs 1 to 5 gold.

How many traits are in TFT Set 18?

35 in the trait list: 25 shared traits and 10 single-champion traits. The data also holds a hidden Eclipse trait, which activates with 3 Solar and 3 Lunar champions on the board, per the League of Legends Wiki (checked 2026-09-27). Since patch 18.4 (October 7, 2026), its first execute comes after 8 seconds of combat instead of 10.

Which TFT Set 18 trait has the most champions?

Riftbeast, with 10 champions, from Cinderling and Pebbles at 1 cost up to the Elder Dragon at 5 cost. Its breakpoints are 3, 5, 7 and 10, and the Elder Dragon adds 2 to your Riftbeast count through its Apex Predator trait.

How do trait breakpoints work in TFT?

A breakpoint is the number of different champions with a trait on your board. Juggernaut's 2 / 4 / 6 means two Juggernauts activate the first tier, four the second and six the third. Copies of the same champion count once, bench units do not count, and star level does not matter.

Why does this list leave out ability values?

They change almost every patch, so a list of them goes stale by the next one. Riot's patch notes carry the current numbers. This page sticks to costs, traits and breakpoints from the game's data, checked at patch 18.4.
