How we make the Study Hall guides
Every Study Hall guide was researched, drafted or edited with AI tools. This page says how, who decides what goes live, and what we never do, so you can weigh each guide for yourself.
Who publishes the Study Hall guides?
MadeByKeo. He decides what is published in the Study Hall, and his name is on every guide. You can read about him on his author page.
Since 11 October 2026, MadeByKeo reads every new page about bans, payments, refunds or legal rights before it goes live. He also does the in-game checks that a page can only get from the game client.
How is a guide made?
We use AI tools (Claude) to research, draft or edit every guide. What the AI did depends on the guide:
- Guides from June to September 2026 began as MadeByKeo's own drafts and were edited with AI tools.
- The Set 18 news pages from October 2026 were researched and drafted with AI tools from Riot's own sources.
New guides, and the changes in updated ones, are researched and drafted with AI tools from the publishers' own notes, support pages, official data and official posts (for TFT, that means Riot's), plus numbers we compute ourselves from public data, with the method stated on the page.
Since 7 October 2026, every new or updated guide is checked by a second AI fact-checker before it goes live. It re-opens Riot's pages and every other source the guide uses, and recomputes every number. A guide whose Updated date is before 7 October 2026 has not had this check.
What do we never do?
- Paste a publisher's text. We read Riot's notes and posts, then write the guide in our own words.
- Claim play we did not do. A guide does not say we tried something in game unless we did.
- Make promises about bans. No guide tells you whether a tool will lead to a ban. Only Riot decides what is allowed in its games.
- Single out other players. When a guide gives our own numbers, they describe many games at once, never one player's record.
What do the dates on a guide mean?
Every guide shows an Updated date. It moves only when the content of the guide changes. A change to the site around the guide does not move it.
Some guides also show the patch their game facts were last checked against. The Updated date, not that line, tells you whether the second AI fact-checker has run on a guide.
Guides for a past set stay up, with a note at the top that names the live set and links the current guide where one exists.
How do I report a mistake?
Send us a message on the Support page with the guide's address and what is wrong, or tell us in the Discord. When a guide is wrong, we fix it, and its Updated date moves.
