Set 18 comps tier list
Every Teamfight Tactics Set 18 line the TFTSense coach builds toward, ranked by tier and updated for patch 18.4. Each comp shows its carry, core champions, key traits, and the item build to slam, and you can click any line to see a recommended board formation. The live app reads your own board round by round and picks the strongest of these for you, so you are never forcing a comp blind. Use the search box to jump straight to a champion, trait, or comp name.

How to use this Set 18 tier list
Tiers rank how strong and how consistent a comp is on the current patch, not how often it gets played. S and A tier lines are the safest things to force or flex into; B and C tier lines are playable when the lobby is open or your opener points that way. The smartest players stay flexible early and commit once their shop and augments tell them what is contested, which is exactly what the live coach does for you.
Where the tiers come from: every comp here is hand-curated, then re-checked against thousands of recent high-elo matches from our nightly data pipeline. When the data disagrees with the curation, comps move: lines averaging near a 3.7 placement or better earn S tier, and lines that consistently finish bottom four get demoted no matter how popular they are. This is the same library that powers the in-game coach, so the tier you see here is exactly what the overlay recommends in your lobby.
Force or flex?
If you open into a comp’s carry or core early, lean in. Otherwise play strongest board and pivot late. New to that idea? Read our guide to flexible play and the TFT fundamentals.
Hit your power spikes
Most of these lines want a clean level and roll schedule. See the economy guide, leveling guide, and reroll guide to time your spikes.
